Best Sativa Dominant Strain with Breeder to grow in hot and humid place
Pretty much what the title says. Here is the complete details of the grow space: 3x3 grow tent 240w KingBrite QB LM301H 4 inch exhaust 87-85 f during day time 82-84 f during night 40-50% rh I am planning my first REAL grow and want to buy the best seeds possible. Had a very terrible experience with Garden of Eden. (All my 3 Blue Dream mutated their leaves, deliberately not splitting their main stem after topping for fimming) I learned that not all seeds are made equal. I’ll be ordering either from Seedsman or Attitude Seedbank since Im not in US, Canada, nor in UK so it’ll be much better if its available there. I did some canvassing for the strains but I would love to hear some new strains with breeders of your suggestions. Here is my list: DNA Genetics - Sour Kosher TH Seeds - French Cookies Delicious Seeds - Sugar Black Rose or Sugar Candy or Chocobang HSO - Sour Blueberry or Desert Diesel Rare Dankness - Moonshine’s Ghost Train Note that all these are feminized. Is there any sort of law that requires you to breathe your own strains from other publicly available strains. Or are you able to final hunt specific strains from other seed breeders. I want to get into cannabis growing commercially sometime in my 20s, but I wanted to try to figure out if I can start purchasing seeds now and refine my ability to grow specific medical/recreational strains that are popular now. Specifically thinking about: BC Bud Depot's Girl Scout Cookies (seen from Mr Canucks Grow) Barney's Farm Cookies Kush Barney's Farm Tangerine Dream Gorilla Glue (not decided on breeder yet) Green Crack(likely Humboldt Seed org) Blue Dream(likely Humboldt Seed org) I think the Barney's farmer probably just for me. I know that gorilla glue, green crack, and blue dream basically a must. Probably a different strainer's girl scout cookies would be very good to have as well. I just kind of was hoping to get some suggestions for strains to look into.

My issue with most other breeders is that they do not list thier strain lineage. We tell you who we got our cuts from and credit the original breeders. Our cookies are really cookies, our haze is really haze, and if we re create a hype strain you better believe its the real deal. All these zskittles, and gelatos autos you see come out are not the real deal, they are just using the hype name. Ask the breeder where they got the gelato, and how they managed to turn it into an auto so fast. It takes two years to turn a photo cut into an auto.
There is a long thread on ICMag, "Mitch's Auto Adventure", with lots of the early history of what would eventually become Mephisto. The Mephisto website has its own FAQ, a Grow Guide, and a Strain Guide. There are also community autoflower growing guides on the autoflowers subreddit's sidebar / about page. Mephisto has an instagram, run by Daz of Night Owl. Note that stan isn't on Instagram, and while I have an account (@parsing_trees) I don't really use it; if somebody claims to be either of us on IG and tries to sell you seeds, it's a scam. We sell to seed banks at 40/50% of retail and they mark it up however much they want. We are going to be doing the advertising for these seed banks so we will see about setting some standard pricing setup. 3 packs are 3s, and 7 packs 7s. We are discussing moving everything to 5 packs though to help streamline the packaging process. Seedbanks will not get freebies yet, but we are looking at providing some freebies for special events.

What regional stores are there?
US, Canada, EU, UK, "Worldwide" (other countries, see Mephisto's FAQ: Shipping). Mephisto does not ship across regions -- if you're in the US, CA, EU, or UK, you can only order from that region's store, not the other regions' stores or Worldwide. Prices are subject to change, but this post has a copy of previous prices at the US store. Prices vary by line, and the Artisanals and Medicinals are a bit more expensive because they require significantly more breeding work. Direct order freebies are based on the overall order price (not including shipping) -- see Mephisto's FAQ for details, and note that the tiers are based on $ for all stores, because payment processing is now done in USD.
When will the US store be open?
No time/date has been posted for the US store yet, more specific than "looking like mid February" as far as I know. On AFN, stan posted something which I had briefly quoted here, but in context, I now realize this was about the UK store (wish the newsletter messages actually specified!). What other US-based seedbanks have stock?
Supreme seedback restock. See the US Distributors/Retailers page. The US store is restocking seedbanks on a regular basis now. For the last five months, at least one of those seedbanks has always had Mephisto strains in stock, and usually several. Seedbank packs are (usually) sealed, and each seedbank handles freebies differently. (The freebies may be from other auto or photo breeders.) On AFN, stan said:

Our farm friend who did the latest update to the strain guide has some serious health issues atm. We have started it but it has taken a back seat for now. I would love to get it updated especially with the new up coming releases.

What about the Livers bx1 description? What does "bx1" mean?
Livers bx1 description. "bx1" means backcross -- Mephisto's Auto Livers strain was crossed back to the photoperiod Livers cut and then worked for four generations to re-stabilize the autoflowering trait, but with even more of the Livers traits otherwise.
How do the different strain groups (Originals, Artisanals, Limiteds, Reserva, Illuminautos, Medicinals) differ?
Originals: Mephisto's first collection of auto strains, which they've been breeding and refining for about a decade.
Artisanals: Newer photo-to-auto breeding projects, based on the Originals (or other Artisanals) and elite photoperiod cuts.
Illuminautos: A test bed for experimental crosses.
Limiteds: F1 crosses of Originals and/or Artisanals. These are usually one-off releases. Some were previously available as Illuminautos or freebies.
Reserva: Re-releases of older strains, usually Limiteds or Illuminautos that became very popular.
Medicinals: High CBD (or 1:1 THC:CBD) strains. Currently there is only Canna-Cheese, but more are in the works.

What's the deal with Night Owl? Does Daz work for Mephisto? Is there a strain guide?
Night Owl is an independent auto breeder who did some breeding work for Mephisto several years ago -- the strain guide mentions GBD (Daz) doing early work on Cosmic Queen and Sour Stomper -- though now he just runs their instagram and represents them at events. Many of his strains are partially based on Mephisto's genetics. There is now a subreddit specifically for Night Owl -- nightowlseeds. Announcements will go there from now on. Night Owl sells directly through The Seed Bazaar, and indirectly through various other seedbanks. See his instagram for more details. There isn't a strain guide yet, and info tends to disappear from TSB as things sell out, but u/BlueJayin has been collecting strain details in a google doc.
The relationship between mephisto and chef anna goes way back before I even starting working with mephisto. He has done a lot to spread the word of mephisto so we continue that relationship to this day. To say we "support him" is very broad. He is an advertising partner and he purchases seeds from us to resale as a white label variety.
We do have an active relationship with James Loud not anyone else though.
There are a few other breeders that have collaborated with Mephisto in the past, such as Mainely Autos (not much info on them...), but there are also "basement breeders" that are chucking pollen and selling F1 or F2 seeds as a cash grab. Making seeds is the easy part -- it takes work not to! The real breeding work is in selection, especially over several generations.
What about RocBud? Didn't they sell an F1 with Jammy Dodgers?
Since we tend to always post the good stuff what are some strains you’ve bought that was a complete let down? (Not including sunmids or forwardgross)
Mine top 3 biggest disappointments were 1. Castaway by evermore. Tasteless buds with very little relief
Gsc by grassroots. Heard a few good things about it but when I tried it it lacked everything. No taste no smell and hardly any effects
Sour D by district cannabis. I was hype about this and it smells really good and the effects are decent but there is zero gas taste to it and that really let me down. Luckily I went and got gelato cake from takoma and can tell you the growers have good bud but since it was the first harvest it’ll take a minute to dial in. Gelato cake hits md dispensaries next month FYI.

Let me start out by saying that I have a lot of experience with these seeds. I have had over 25 full blown trips on these, so i know how my body reacts. Despite this, nothing could have prepared me for the legendary trip i had one fall evening. I dont have time stamps, so I’m going to guesstimate, but i was high for well over 10 hours. Doseages: HBWR: 6 seeds GSC: 3 large hits from a pipe Setting: at my friends grandparents house Headspace: content I started out by taking 6 HBWR seeds orally. I crushed them in my mouth, and they did taste really bad compared to my usual way of taking them which is in capsules. My friend also took 6 seeds. We chilled out in his kitchen for around 30 mins. We both went into the living room and sat down with my friends grandpa. He pulled out a bowl and loaded it up with girls scout cookies(a marijuana strain for those who dont know). We took turns hitting it, and after 3 monster hits from the pipe, i decided i had had enough. I layed back while my friend and his grandpa continued hitting the pipe. At this point, it had been 45 minutes since i first took the seeds. I was starting to feel minor effects such as brightening of colors, but no true hallucinations yet. I remember a distinct “icy” feeling as i sat in the chair. I was definitely in the psychedelic headspace. After stitting in the chair listening to music for around 2 hours, being high on weed and LSA, I really started getting intense hallucinations. One of my memories around this time, which is still very potent in my mind, was looking out the window. My view consisted of the roof of the immediate neighbors house(black shackles), my friends grandparents van in the driveway, and the curtains of the window. Colors were very vidvid and bright, and objects breathed and warped with incredible intensity. I could feel the “life” in the objects around me. It was truly like they were these ancient, intelligent beings with fully legitimate consciousness, although they never communicated with me verbally or in any other way. I looked out the window and saw the shackled roofing of the neighbors house, and I remember the little square shackles switching places and overlapping, like a dance. Everything was so tranquil and beautiful. I had a feeling of pure existence which is just impossible to describe. It was a complete overload of the senses, but it wasn’t fast paced or panicked at all. The body feel was very heavy too. The visuals were never geometric like LSD, but the head space was very similar. The visuals were much more like shrooms. At the 3 hour mark, i could see peacock eyes, but only when my eyes were closed. The CEV’s were a swirling, pulsing mixture of colors, shapes, and and fast moving vibrant lines of bright magenta, neon, and blue. These CEV’s moved in an outward fashion, but the finer details curved inwards on themselves. It was truly magnificent. The only other trip like it was in a forest, which was even more peaceful than this one, but that’s a another story. At the 4 hour mark, i went home. This was the scary part. I had a lot of paranoia and people’s faces looked scary like monsters. If i made eye contact with someone, even if it was someone looking at the camera in a YouTube video, it felt very intimidating and threatening. I decided that i needed to masturbate in the shower, but when i went in, i got the idea in my head that a monster would come in in the middle of it and disimbowl me and then consume my organs. I knew in my head how irrational this thought was, but i just couldn’t get it out of my head. I truly believed this would happen. The thought of how irrational it was slowly subsided as i became certain that my premonition just had to be true. It was too specific to not be, right? Due to the fact that i was already naked and the shower water was hot, i felt like just taking the shower was my destiny. I entered the shower in fear, “knowing” that this was my last hour. I want to say that i accepted my fate and became at peace with my death, but i did not. I was in constant fear the whole time. I never hoped or prayed that the monster wouldnt arrive, because i had had fully accepted that it would come, which in a way is atleast a form of acceptance, but I couldn’t let go of the fear of my demise. I knew i had taken a drug, i knew i was tripping balls, but i decided that it was only a coincidence that this happened and that the monster would’ve gotten me anyway. I never had any ill wishes towards whatever sent the monster to me, or towards the monster itself. I was just scared. I didn’t blame it, because i knew that it was just its nature, in the same way that its a wolfs nature to kill and eat animals in the woods, even though those woodland creatures never did anything to deserve being eaten. Obviously the monster never came and ate my organs, and i got out of the shower and presumed a state of paranoia and fear for the next 8 or so hours. The trip subsided, and i rose up as the same old stubborn bastered i was before. I didn’t learn jack shit, other than the fact that i tripped so fucking hard i managed to convince myself that a monster was 100% going to eat me alive while i masturbated. Usually i always learn something from a powerful trip such as this, but this knowledge just didn’t come to me during this trip. I did gain a lot fo experience, though. It definitely wasn’t the most intense trip, but it was the most emotions i have ever experienced in a single night. I would rate this trip a 7/10 due to the blissful prelude to the stomach turning paranoia. I wouldn’t blame the cannabis for the bad part of the trip. In fact, the best trip i ever had was on 6 seeds while smoking Girl Scout cookies in a deer stand. Anyways, thats my trip report. I hope you guys got something out of this. At the very least, the biggest lesson you might learn is how a good trip can get nasty for no reason at all. HBWR is a beast in its own unique way, and it has all the potential that every other psychedelic has, including some very frightening and enlightening trips. As a side note: always research before taking ANY substance. Doing drugs is a big choice, so treat it as such and learn as much as you can about How to stay safe in the case you do decide to tread down the path of psychedelics or any other drug for that matter.

Well, lately I've been leaning on ganja more as I've stopped using some not-so-nice prescription drugs that I'd been on for too long, and I've really been really trying out a lot of different buds from a lot of different growers! I thought I'd share some of the things I've learned based on purchasing (probably too much) dispensary-based weed in the last couple months. A couple little odd notes off the bat: A lot of the BEST flower seems to come in mylar pouches - often with VERY aesthetic and cool design - rather than jars these days. This is definitely not ALWAYS true or consistent by any means, but more and more of the most prestigious and current names out there just seem to use bags. Cookies, Backpack Boyz, Seed Junky Genetics, Jungle Boys, Cannakings, Insane - all use bags exclusively now. There are definitely lots of companies that still use jars too though - Connected, Cannabiotix, LA Kush, Claybourne, Ball Family Farms - to name a few that I've personally tried and had good experiences with. Some companies use both, like Wonderbrett which sells small-buds in pouches. Anyway, I suppose I am curious about other people who also go to, like, downtown LA dispensaries with any regularity and whether they have been smoking the same stuff as me, and what they think. I've been really into trying Cookies strains, and right now I've got Berry Pie, Honey Bun, Sticky Bun, and some Cheetah Piss that cost a bit less due to be grown with "light deprivation", which I know has to do with the way it was grown, but I am unclear as to what it means for the flower or why it costs $15 less than usual. It was very good, regardless, but not as good as the Honey Bun and Sticky Bun, both of which were pretty similar in my estimation and had a really lovely flavor and especially pretty/aesthetic buds. Something else I've got which I find very intriguing is the 'Tomyz' and 'Blue Tomyz' strains from Backpack Boyz. I gotta say, the packaging for these is REALLY adorable and caught my eye - blue and red matching pouches with a grumpy/badass looking cartoon bear. Dunno why it appeals to me, but it really does. The buds are REALLY nice though, shades of almost light blue in the 'Blue Tomyz" which may be the cause for the name, and more purple tones in the regular "tomyz", but I can find ZERO information on the genetics, so I would appreciate any info about either strain. I'm also very into the strains that come in pouches marked "Flavors", and I have tried all four that have shown up at my dispensary in the last few weeks, which include the following strains: Cake Mints, Triple Scoop, Aventador, Blueberry Gelato. They all tested between ~23% and 30% THC, with the Aventador testing the highest - though I think the Cake Mints may have been the best of the four strains, though I am unsure. The Triple Scoop had the lowest THC but the best flavor, and I was least impressed with the Blueberry Gelato in terms of the nug quality, though it was still very good. Anyway, there are some others I have that I have yet to fully explore - such as an eighth of Face Off OG from a group called Cannakings that looks promising, testing at an almost absurdly high ~33%. I do want to ask everyone how much they factor THC percentages into their purchases... I honestly try to pay as little attention to them as possible, because I have been burned SO many times by getting high-test strains that end up dreadful, or lower-testing strains that wind up being really amazing and get me way more high! More and more, I find myself disregarding the numbers on the packaging. But then I'll find myself second-guessing that, too! It's a frustrating circle. Anyone able to help me out on this? :(

Quick and convenient thru instagram, would use again although wished they gave breaks for volume and honestly felt the tahoe mints could have been at the $45 pp. Don't post much so Ill put some quick reviews of other services as well- GreenKings DC- started using them late 2019- used to do 280$ zips, now they at 300$, and also have a black label strains- havent used them in a few months as they have tighter hours- but quality wise the 300$ strains never let me down- hope to go back to them soon. Fire strains from them over the months include zookies, blue cookies, mendo breath, and best forbidden fruit ive ever had Exotic Blooms- used them after seeing them on gentleman toker- tldr they are inconsistent..at the 400$ zip pricepoint I had some fire strains (tom ford pink kush, king louie, gods gift) After getting those in small amounts over a few pickups i decided to go all out and get a zip of god's green crack for $400. it was welllll below the quality of the TFPK, king louie, and gods gift. basically felt like one of their discount buds/oz steals whatever they call it. FWIW those oz steals can be okay, but they shouldnt call them steals, just mids (i got 2oz super sour diesel for 260$ and 2oz blue dream for 260$ on 2 separate occasions) that didnt feel like a ripoff but that 400$ gods green crack sure did. never going back. Dont get me started on the 85$ and up eighths..didnt even bother. Top Secret DC- picked up 2-3 times- I believe they had employees split off of GreenKings and start their own company. I stayed away from them for a while bc they took my info from GreenKings and texte me- but the devil you know and all and eventually i picked up zips for 250 $ ( now they are at the 280$ pp but think they still have weekend discounts. Notable fire strains ive tried here recently are Snoop's Dream, xj-13, and louis vouitton og. They were locked into my go-to but this most recent pick up felt a slight drop in the quality, specifically a 1/2 of gelato which had multiple seeds. Bagged Buds- similar experience to Exotic Blooms- their pricepoints seem all over the place to confuse. I will say i paid the most for an eighth here, and it was the strongest bud I've had (Hawaiian Runtz- 75$ I also recall snagging a half of pink cookies/wedding cake for 200$ that i felt was wellll worth it. At the same time i got a $300 oz of forbidden fruit that felt like it should have been half that price.
